That is because once you assign a bill to a client, division or analyst, ATLAS automatically e-mails that person a message that contains a link to the full-text of the bills including underlines and strikeouts along with an unlimited area to enter a bill analysis or comments. The person receiving the mail simply clicks on each bill number - no login is required and no menus are involved.

Furthermore, if the bill ever receives a committee amendment, committee substitute, floor amendment or conference committee report, the same people automatically receive a message that allows them to update their remarks - without you having to notify them.

When remarks are entered on bills, you are automatically notified so the remarks can be reviewed and included on your reports.

Sounds simple? It is - very simple.

All you have to do is assign the bill when it is filed, review the remarks when they come in, and read them on your reports. That's it!

If you are having a problem getting your bill analysts to analyze your bills you can also turn on the late notice feature. Once their grace period is expired, we notify them every day of the bills they haven't analyzed plus we notify you. Since you are the one meeting with the legislators and testifying before the committees, you need to know if your bill hasn't been analyzed. Need it in a hurry?
